Is it wrong to dream something big? Not necessary the size, but big in the sense that it requires time and effort to achieve. It's like my dream house that I am not sure when I'll be going to put it up. It just that I don't have the resources, yet.Suppose I have a well paid job and I also have a little girl at the same time, that wouldn't be too difficult to joggle as I can pay somebody to mind her. It sounds ambitious but true. I won't have to give up the job while aspiring for a family.
Well, my dream house would just be right with rustic furniture in it. I love it furnished with things that I know will be worth it. I haven't had a fancy bed, with ornaments around or maybe sofa chairs that look elegant in the living room. Right now, I am looking for some accommodation with new sets. I am tired of renting a house with old ones, not just I am not sure it if they’re clean, I also don't enjoy using them. I take care what ever is lent to me. I clean the house just like my own, and fix what has to be fixed. Well, I hope before our contract here ends, I will find something that just suits my preference.

Proud, I am.
I couldn’t be more proud of my little girl. I can’t stop bragging ,can I? If you are also a parent , you will surely understand what it meant to be over the moon when your young child showcases her creativity to you. I was busy online while she was busy with her so-called ‘squiggle pads and squiggle sticks’. She drew a dancing family with happy faces, then told me that it was us. How brilliant of her to do such. She must really be so inspired that she even emphasized the faces with big grins. She also knows sad, silly and shock faces but she sure likes the smiley one. It as well resembles her personality.
Moreover, this photo above is something new. She isn't used to drawing a body, with ears and hair. Just so glad she is slowly getting the concept.
Way to go my little one. School will soon be in your way. There will be too much of those writings, drawings, home works, projects and all sort of things that I hated once. But yours will be much exciting. Mum will be around with a helping hand :).

First time with bread of salt
Drooling isn't enough to describe how I miss foods from home. Each morning while there, we always have our hot chocolate (cacao drink) and the bread of salt a.k.a pandesal. Filipinos can't say no to this bread because of its distinctive taste. I always yearn to make my own but I was afraid it will end up a mess for I haven't done kneading that much. When I was new here, I tried making "ensaymada". Though I know it wasn't perfect, my hubby still loved it. Sure I will make one day because my first trial with pandesal last night was a success.
It's not perfect but it quenches my craving. My family loves it with mayonnaise. It also reminds me of my little cousins before that used to pair it with cheese every morning. Now I am happy that at least my girl gets to taste some Filipino foods that are sometimes difficult to get here. I just don't have time to visit any of the Filipino restaurants that sell it here. It sure cost much too high that my family can't eat extravagantly. At least we still have it here even though we've been munching since last night.

Treating my family with cakes...
Sure it isn't a good idea to feed my family with sugary foods. There isn't any good way of taking care of them but by making sure that they eat healthy and well balanced diet. However, the Dad likes something to munch whenever he is home. That's aside from the meal that is being prepared, of course. I also like having something with my cup of tea or ovaltine. I always opposed to ready made cakes in the shops for I don't know how much sugar they put there.
I always make sure that I will have a home made cake whenever I am free. I just need to reduce the amount of sugar, though I know white flour is not a healthy alternative. I just love it when hubby is happy. Here I am again, trying to lose weight but to no success.
I love baking since I came here. I only stopped when I have my first baby because I couldn't find time, or maybe this is just my lame excuse. I like to experiment things. I know this only adds up to our bills, hence the oven will have to be used. But it is worth it when I know I am good at something. I may not be the best chef but for my family, I am.
